Joseph “Joey” Lee Mullinix, age 34, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. An Indianapolis native he was born on October 19, 1982 to Joseph and Tracy (Hix) Mullinix.

Joey was in the class of 1999 at Franklin Central High School. Joey was a Flooring Professional at from Top Notch Flooring. He loved to fish and being outdoors, always the life of the party he enjoyed being with friends and having a good time. Joey always had a great outlook on life and saw the good in others, loved being with all the kids in the family. Joey loved Jesus.

Joey is survived by his mother and step-father: Tracy Lynn Dickey and John Long of Greenwood; father: Joseph Carl Mullinix of Indianapolis; step-father: Tony Massey; paternal grandparents: Gary D. & May Mullinix of Indianapolis; Maternal Grandparents: Ed & Judy Hix of Indianapolis; sister and brother-in-law: Latisha “Tish” & Billy Neely of Indianapolis; step-sister: Shawn Massey of Indianapolis; former fiancé: Sarah Cox; nieces and nephews: Cole, Karmah, Destiny, Emerald, Kaylen; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his cousin: Shane Ryan Mullinix

Funeral Ceremony will be 6:00 pm Monday, May 8, 2017 at Tabernacle of Faith 801 Shelby St, Indianapolis 46203 with Pastor Terri Mullinix officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the service at 6:00 pm.
