Indianapolis - Frances Christine “Chris” Jones, 53, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 after a long and brave battle with her medical problems.

Mrs. Jones was born July 21, 1963 in Indianapolis, IN. She served her family as a homemaker. Mrs. Jones attended Suburban Baptist Church. Her husband, Jimmy, described her as a loving wife, mother and nonna who loved spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her beloved husband of 23 years, James “Jimmy” Jones, Jr.; sons, Michael Wonderlick and his wife, Missy, Shane Wonderlick and James “Jimmy” Jones, III; sisters, Mae “Midge” Pratt and her husband, Bobby and Louise Carter; brothers, Charles “Chuck” Deaton and his wife, Lois and Grant Deaton and his wife, Johnie; grandsons, Alexander, Noah, Sidney and Elwood; and many other loving family members and friends.

Mrs. Jones’ family will receive friends, Saturday, June 17, 2017, from 9-10 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 10 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Ford Glover of Suburban Baptist Church officiating. Immediately following the service, Mrs. Jones’ family invites you to join them for lunch at Garfield Park, 2505 Conservatory Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46203.
