Indianapolis - Susan “Sue” Bernard, 51, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017.

Ms. Sue was born February 21, 1966 in Greenwood, IN. She was employed at American Art and Clay where she was dearly loved by her coworkers. She was Catholic and believed in her savior, Jesus Christ. While she had many interests, her favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandchildren she adored.

Ms. Sue was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn O’Neil and her son, DJ Brandenburg. She is survived by her sons, Kyle Brandenburg and Drew Bernard; step-father, Ronnie Vanatta; grandsons, Alex, David and Gunner Brandenburg; granddaughter, Amiyah Bernard; brothers, Ronnie Vanatta, Jr. and Andy Nelms; sister, Lisa Bragg; and many other loving family members and friends.

Ms. Sue’s family will receive friends Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 10 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 435 West Troy Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46225.
