Indianapolis - Rebecca Marie “Becky” Heldman, 64, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017.
Becky was born March 13, 1953 in Beech Grove, IN to the late Henry and Julia Heldman. She was an employee of the United States Postal Service. Because of her work with the non-profit organization, Meet Me Under the Bridge, Inc., the homeless population of Indy affectionately remembers her as “The Cake Lady.”
Becky was preceded in death by her brothers, Hank and Fritz Heldman. She is survived by her brothers, Michael, Richard and David Heldman.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at 11 am at Indian Creek Christian Church, 6430 South Franklin Road, Indianapolis, IN 46259. In Becky’s honor and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Meet Me Under the Bridge, Inc. at www.meetmeunderthebridge.org.
