Mrs. Summers was born November 19, 1927 in Indianapolis. For much of her life, she was employed as a bookkeeper. She was a longtime member of St. Roch Catholic Church.
Mrs. Summers was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn Summers. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Blodgett; sons, Joe Summers and Fred Summers and his wife, Theresa; grandsons, Dennis Summers and Jason Summers; granddaughter, Rhiannon Bell; great granddaughter, Lisa Lasley; and siblings, Betty Steinmetz, Loretta Rodman, Nina Wilson, Gloria Powers, Bonnie Seifert, Linda Staten, Nancey McConkey, Michael Graves, and Deborah Tietz.
Mrs. Summers’ family will receive friends, Wednesday, December 27, 2017, from 4 – 6 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Thursday, December 28, 2017, at 10 am at St. Roch Catholic Church, 3600 South Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis, IN 4622. Interment will be conducted privately at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
