Indianapolis - Sandra Sue Geiger, 75, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018.

Ms. Geiger was born Tuesday, October, 20 1942, in Kokomo, IN to the late Paul and Elizabeth Rentschler. On 16 April 1957, she married Marion James Geiger. Ms. Geiger was a very hard worker and over the course of her life, she served in multiple capacities. She served in leasing management for Retirement Housing Foundation. She was previously employed by Walt Disney World. She also served as switchboard operator and as a caregiver for both children and adults as a nurses’ aide.

Ms. Geiger was an avid reader. She loved her front porch and waving at her neighbors. She was a member of the Assembly of God church and loved visiting people and sharing her faith. She also enjoyed exploring and hiking in national forests and parks

Ms. Geiger was preceded in death by her husband, Marion James Geiger; brother, Rev. Loren Emerson Rentschler; sister, Enola Jean Gardner Crist; and nephews, Ron E. Maddox and Anthony W. Maddox. She is survived by her only child, Dee Victoria "Vicki" Geiger; step-sons, Eric and Bart; brother, Don Richard Rentschler and his wife, Peggy; sisters, Velera L. Hanna and Carol L. Moore; sister-in-law, Diane Rentschler; and grandsons, DiAngilo and Mark Bryant.

Ms. Geiger's family will receive friends Wednesday, June 13, 2018, from 11 am - 12 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 12 pm. A committal service will be conducted at 2 pm at Maplewood Cemetery, 200 College Drive, Anderson, IN 46012.
