Fairland - Melody Joette Caudill, 69, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017. She was born March 11, 1948 in Beech Grove, IN. She was a lifelong hairstylist and instructor. She loved her job, making others feel great about themselves. Melody retired from the hair industry in 2007.

Melody was preceded in death by her father, Joe Fyffe; mother, Betty Simpson; and brother, Robin Sloan. She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Alan "Big AL" Caudill; daughters, Crystal (David), Misty (Jeff) and Tiffany (Scott); sons, David and Travis; step daughters, Heather and Amber; step-son, Jasen; sister, Gloria; 22 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many other loving family members and dear friends.

Mrs. Caudill’s family will receive friends Monday, December 18, 2017, from 5 – 7pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 7 pm at the funeral home chapel.
