Paul Smith, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 26, 2019. Paul was born in Zachariah, Kentucky to Clarence & Ila (Adams) Smith on January 29, 1933.

Paul worked for Create Carrier for 50 years; he enjoyed cheering on the Cubs, watching NASCAR and he was a member of Marshill Baptist Church.

Paul is survived by his wife of 46 years: Jo Ann (Lanham) Smith; son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Ina Chambers; siblings: Francis Brewer, Thelma Bright, J.R. Smith, Kenny Smith; grandchildren: Tonya Vinson, Brittany Troxtell, Randy Chambers, Tylor Chambers, Christina Zachary, Kaylea James; great-grandchildren: Issac Dawson, Jason Vinson Jr., Bryce Vinson, Desiree Chambers, Trinity Chambers, Saveahnna Chambers, David Troxtell, Kailyn Chambers, Raelynn Chambers and a host of other family and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Joe, Carl, Jim, Marie, Maxine, Myrtle Lou; granddaughter: Miranda Chambers.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 31 from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Newcomer - Indianapolis Chapel, 925 E. Hanna Ave., IN 46227. His funeral service will be on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 10 A.M. Interment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery with Military Honors.
