Kenneth Wayne "The Claw" Holsclaw, Sr.
1927 - 2019

Indianapolis - Kenneth Wayne Holsclaw, Sr., 92, passed away Monday, September 23, 2019. He was born July 9, 1927 in Shelbyville to the late Guy Holsclaw and Martha Schuneman. Prior to his retirement in 1986, he was employed by National Starch, now known as Ingredion Incorporated. He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church. He served as a volunteer for the Emmaus Lutheran Church Food Pantry for over twenty six years. He was an amazing harmonica player. He shared the Gospel through his talent and traveled and played at different churches, nursing homes and friends’ funerals.

Mr. Holsclaw was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paula Holsclaw; grandchildren, Tammy and Alexandria Holsclaw; and great-grandchild, Abigail Manning. He is survived by his children: Kenny Holsclaw, Jr., Peggy Holsclaw, Mike Holsclaw and his wife, Cindy, Kathy Bays, Ronnie Holsclaw, David Holsclaw and his wife, Jerri and Susan Holsclaw; brother, Charles Schuneman and his wife, Carol; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many other beloved family members and dear friends.

The Holsclaw family will receive friends Thursday, September 26, 2019, from 10 am – 12 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will follow at 12 pm at the funeral home chapel. A committal service will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Emmaus Lutheran Church Food Pantry in Mr. Holsclaws’ memory.
