Indianapolis - Douglas “Doug” Stansifer, 77, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020. He was born February 10, 1943 in Indianapolis to the late Otis and June Weir Stansifer. Doug was a graduate of Carmel High School. He was employed by Union Carbide and Praxair where he served as a calibration technician.
Doug was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Stansifer and his sons, Larry and Michael Stansifer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Stansifer; daughters: Frances Baldwin, Tina Loschky and Darleen Mayes; sons, Edward and Charles Stansifer; step-daughter, Tina Burgin; step-sons, Eric and Bryan Lord; 28 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, Doug’s family requests that donations be made, in his memory, to a local food pantry.
