1944 - 2020

George M. Kallok Jr, age 75, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
George was born in East Chicago, Indiana and lived in the NW Indiana region for most of his life. He graduated from River Forest High School, class of 1963. He was an iron worker and a tool and die maker.
George Jr. was the firstborn child of George Sr. and Virginia Kallok, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his infant daughter Sandy and his son Jimmy, wife Kathy Kallok, brother David Kallok, and a special niece Julie Choate, who he could always make smile with his big booming voice.
George is survived by his two sons George III “Mike” Kallok and Roger Kallok of Lake Station, Indiana, and three grandchildren Jonathan Kallok (Susan), Kaitlyn Kallok, and Kathryn Owen; brother James J. Kallok (Barbara), seven sisters Mary Choate (Lonis), Ruth Annaert (David), Rose Fontana (Paul), Shirley Snawder (Robert), Linda Kallok, Brenda Byler (Glenn), and Nancy Newsome, sister-in-law Deb Kallok, as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and in his younger years, being a skilled “shade tree” mechanic. He loved making the rounds visiting with family and friends. We will miss his loud, gruff voice and sense of humor, which he used to remind his siblings that he had the best head of hair of them all! George will be missed by his family, who loved him.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
