Lloyd Anderson obituary: Lloyd Anderson's Obituary, Indianapolis
In Memory Of
Lloyd Bernard "Sonny" Anderson
1943 - 2020
In Memory Of
Lloyd Bernard "Sonny" Anderson
1943 - 2020
Sonny was known as many different things to many different people. He was an antagonistic husband, “Daddy” to one, “Pop” to his grandkids and great grandkids, a fantastic brother, a respectable brother-in-law (depending on who you ask), a great drinking buddy, a good fisherman (when he could finally catch one), a jokester through-and-through and a man who made plaid look good.
Sonny was a man of few words and primarily talked through his hands. Known as a jack of all trades, Sonny was a construction worker, a truck driver, a mechanic for Standard Gas Station and a machinist at Capital City Container Corps for more years than anyone can remember.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Francis Anderson, Sr.; sister, Pat Smith; and brother, Bill Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Vicky Sue Anderson; daughter, Connie Sue Needler and her fiancé, Tiger Burden; grandchildren and their significant others: Danielle Carrico and Joshua Ammerman, Tiffany and David Neffle, Christian and Abigail Needler and AJ Needler; great grandchildren: Xylan, Madison, Jackson, Samantha, Blake, Zayda, Kamryn, Clayton, Wyatt and Merryn; siblings: Shirley Van Patten, Jackie Caldwell and Ronnie Anderson; and an inconceivable number of nieces and nephews.
Sonny's family will receive friends Wednesday, November 25, 2020, from 11 am - 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home. For the health and safety of all guests attending, face masks are required. Thank you.
