Indianapolis - Hazel Mae Thompson, 77, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020. She was born January 13, 1943 in Laurel, KY to the late Ernest and Grettie Pelfrey Barker. She was employed in the furnace production industry.

Hazel loved to make homemade, appliqued quilts. Additionally, she loved to garden and enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and squirrels. While she enjoyed many things, what she loved most of all was spending time with her family and her best friend, Theresa.

Hazel was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Harte and her son-in-law, Glenn Hamilton. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Herbert Thompson; daughters: Virginia Hamilton, Betsy Townsend and her husband, Dana and Lona Taylor and her husband, Robert; sons, Dusty Thompson and his wife, Hillary and Jesse Kelley and his wife, Sherri; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; 1 great – great grandchild; and many other loving family members and dear friends.
