Lucille Elizabeth was born April 29, 1932 in New Albany (Floyd County) Indiana, the 6th child of Oscar James and Mary (Austin) Griffin whereby she was swiftly taken across the Ohio river and raised up in Brown Hollow: McKinney, Kentucky.
She married James Henry Franklin and together they had 6 children: James Leslie, Albert Lee, Delbert Gene, Sandra Kae, Freeman Dewayne, and Peggy Ann Franklin.

She was a housewife & mother until later years whereby she worked as a laborer at Stokely-Van Camp until retiring after 30 years.

Lucille Elizbeth was preceded in death by 3 of her 6 children: Delbert Gene, Albert Lee, and Sandra Kae. Also preceding her in death were her Parents Oscar James and Mary Griffin, and her brothers and sisters: Patsy, Clara, James, Charles, Edward, Chester, Paul, Billie, Aileen, and Arthur.

She is survived by 3 children: James “Jim” Franklin (Susan), Freeman Dewayne Franklin and Peggy Ann (Franklin) Snow. 4 Grandchildren: Eric James & Matthew Thomas Franklin, Shanna Marie Franklin, and Amy Katherine Harris, 7 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

Pall bearers are her 2 surviving sons, Jim & Freeman Franklin, Daughter Peggy Snow, Grand Daughter Amy Harris, Great Grandson Tim Harris, Nephew Harold Griffin and her Niece Donna (Griffin) Pittman as honorary pall bearer.

A Private Funeral Service will be held for the family at a later date. Burial in Concordia Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
