Indianapolis – Philip Ritchie, age 80, passed away at 12:21 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on December 20, 1940 to the late Jessie and Gladys (Campbell) Ritchie in Hazard, Kentucky.

Philip was a shift supervisor at Quality Steel Heat Treatment Plant, retiring in 2006 after 38 years of devoted work.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ettamarie Ritchie and 7 siblings: Thelma Cramer, Clara Marie Sullivan, Edith Helton, Octa Neldon, Adrine Ritchie, Flossie Carver and Juanita Barker.

Philip is survived by his daughters, Tammie Sue Hall and her husband, Charles, Vickie Lynn Ritzy and her husband, Mark and Cindy Walters Stafford and her husband, Jeff; 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

Philip’s guests may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. with Minister Ed Parsley officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143.
