Indianapolis - Chester Ray Graves, Jr., 58, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022. He was born March 28, 1964 in Linton, IN to the late Chester Ray Graves, Sr. and Frances Stevens Graves Brummett. He graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in 1983. He was employed in the retail industry where he served as a clerk.

Chester loved his family very much and enjoyed being around them. He liked spending time on the water and it didn’t really matter whether it was on the ocean, a lake or a river. Additionally, he enjoyed taking long drives and meeting his niece, Megan, and her family for breakfast every Friday morning.

Chester was preceded in death by his father, Chester Ray Graves, Sr.; mother, Frances Stevens Graves Brummett; and brother, Edward Graves. He is survived by a stepson; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; siblings: Douglas Graves, Lee (Michelle) Graves, Amber (Aaron) Eubank, Jefferson Graves and DaNina (Jason) Brettnacher; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Chester’s family will receive friends Friday, September 23, 2022, from 11 am – 2 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN.
