INDIANAPOLIS – Crystal “Mama” (Leohr) Gosman, 76, passed away at 3:53 PM on Friday, September 16, 2022 at her residence. She was born on June 14, 1946 to the late Zane R and Elizabeth M. (Gray) Paine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Crystal was united in marriage on June 27, 1982 to the late Carl Gosman at their home in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She received her GED in 1985. Crystal became a member of “Come as You Are” Church as soon as Covid allowed.. She worked in retail for many years until she was diagnosed with cancer and became disabled in 1996. Crystal’s hobbies were sewing, gospel singing and making flower crafts. She loved spending time with her great grandchildren, karaoke with her church family and listening to Christian music.

Crystal is survived by her loving children: Leonard Gosman, Elizabeth Shepherd, Carl Gosman, Robert Bayne, Darryel Gosman and Wife Danita; William Bayne, Donella Hannon and Husband Terry; and David Gosman and Wife Debbie; 20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, as well as many many brothers and sisters in Christ.

In addition to her parents and husband, Crystal was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Cleta Gosman; and father-in-law, Carl Gosman; brother, Ronald Leohr; brother-in-laws, Rudy Day and Oren Oldaker; daughter-in-law, Kelly Gosman; son-in-law, Paul Shepherd.

Crystal’s friends and family may visit from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The Celebration of Crystal’s Life will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Fielen officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143.
