INDIANAPOLIS – David Scott Jones, 60, passed away at 5:33 AM on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the loving son of Ralph Donavon “Don” and Sharon Belle Luster Jones on December 9, 1962 in Danville, Kentucky.

David graduated from Beech Grove High School in 1980. He worked in the telecommunications industry and was employed by Spectrum for many years where he served as a cable technician. David was known by family and friends alike as a tinkerer. He was always fixing things and experimenting. He was a former member of Lawrence Baptist Church where he was baptized. David enjoyed watching Western movies and TV shows. John Wayne was his favorite.

He is survived by his mother, Sharon Belle Jones; his daughter, Amanda Fullen; his sons, Joseph D. “Joe” Jones and his wife, Heather and Jeff Smith; his sisters, Tammy Jones, Zelma Jones and her husband, Jim Phelps and Tisha Jones; his brother, Mark Jones; and his grandchildren, Cole Fullen, Evelyn Fullen and Mia Fullen. David was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Donavon “Don” Jones.

David’s family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.

Visitation will also be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Brandon Awrey officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted by Fox and Friend Funeral Home in Stanford, Kentucky at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 10, 2023 at New Salem Church Cemetery, 10680 KY Highway 698, Hustonville, Kentucky 40437.
