Devon B. Marks, Indianapolis and formerly of Angola, died Saturday October 22 at his home following a lengthy illness. Devon was born Jan 29, 1953 in Angola to William and Evelyn Marks. He worked as a tool and die maker before owning and operating Devon's Lawn Care.

Devon enjoyed music and was an avid collector of records and of stereo equipment, always buying and selling components to improve the sound of his records. He also enjoyed movies, playing cards- especially family poker games, flower and vegetable gardening and in recent years had taught himself to paint. But his greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. He cherished his memories of him and Martha raising the kids together and creating the bond of love that kept them all close.

He was blessed with a circle of very dear friends whose visits during his illness were what kept him going. He shared a special bond with his sister Brenda and her family and cherished the many family times they shared.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Dennis Goudy, sister: Mary Goudy, and brother-in-law: Kenneth Skaggs.

Surviving are his former wife and dear friend Martha Mills of Indianapolis. Children are William Brent Marks of Atlanta, GA, Tom Holloway of Harrisburg, PA, Matt (Kelly) Holloway of Indianapolis, IN, Heather (James) Julian of Greer, SC. Grandchildren include Alexander, Madelin and Olivia. His sister Brenda (Larry) Fiedler of Angola, sister: Barbara Roberts of Lakeland, Fl. Many Nieces and Nephews including Julie (Dominic) Blasutti of Angola, Amie (Michael) Redman of Zionsville and Matthew (Mindy) Goudy of Brentwood, TN. His Great nephews Travis (Jenny) Skaggs, Andrew Piatek, Jeffrey Piatek, Reece Redman, Bryce Redman and Nolan Goudy. His Great Nieces Chelsea (Joe)Bradfield, Ava Redman, Riley Goudy, Caelen Goudy and Madigan Goudy. His Great Great Nephews: Mason Johnson, Tristyn Bradfield, Peyton Bradfield, Keaton Piatek and Kwinton Piatek. "Uncle Vonnie" will be greatly missed.
