Mary L. Terhune, 82 of Indianapolis died February 25, 2017. Mary was born on September 30, 1934 in Rushville to Oliver and Lucille (McDonald) Yates.

Mary was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and enjoyed fishing, going to the casino and spending time with her family and friends; she loved drawing and sketching.

Mary is survived by her children and their spouses: Joe & Donetta Cartwright of Martinsville; William Cartwright; Don Cartwright; Karen Cartwright; Jacqueline & Daniel Lee all of Indianapolis; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Donald Terhune; son: Kevin Cartwright; siblings: Jack Yates, Bill Yates, Katherine Foley.

Visitation will be on Thursday March 2, 2017 from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis 46227. Her funeral service will be on Friday at 11 A.
