Mr. Garnett was born March 20, 1945 in Pontiac, MI. He was employed for many years as a drywaller in the construction industry.
Mr. Garnett is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Margaret Garnett; daughters, Rhonda Garnett and Tammy Garnett and her life partner, Mike; sons, Richard, Garnett, Jr. and his wife, Debra and Scott Garnett and his wife, Linda; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sisters, Meloney, Barbara and Margaret; brothers, Robert Garnett and Francis Garnett; and many other loving family members and close friends.
The Garnett family will receive friends Monday, March 5, 2018, from 4 – 8 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will be conducted Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at 10 am at the funeral home with Pastor Rob Dugan officiating.
