Indianapolis - Tony Lee Wombles, 49, passed away April 15, 2018. He was born December 19, 1968 in Hyden, KY to Fred and Bernett Wombles. He served his community as a mason in the construction industry.

Mr. Wombles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tonya Batman Wombles; father, Fred Wombles; brother, Charles “Hoss” Smith; mother-in-law, Gail McKenzie; and father-in-law, Danny Batman. He is survived by his daughter, Alexis Wombles; mother, Bernett Wombles; sisters, Linda Bergman, Wanda Lopez, Kim Gay and her husband, Donnie and Doris Rice and her husband, David; brothers, Freddie Wombles and Robert Wombles; and many other beloved family members and devoted friends.

Mr. Wombles’ family will receive friends, Friday, April 20, 2018, from 4 – 8 pm, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will be conducted Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Donnie Gay and Bishop Donnie Gay, Jr. officiating. A committal service will follow at Floral Park Cemetery, 425 North Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222.
