Indianapolis - Denise Lynn Holton, 61, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

Denise was born October 30, 1957 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Franklin and Catherine Shelton. She served her family as a homemaker, wife and mother. Her family described her as a great artist who specialized in painting and drawing. She also loved Nintendo.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janice Sherman; and brother, Jeff Shelton. She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Ricky Holton; son, Christopher Holton; daughters, Catherine Rodriguez, Caren Walkosz and Amy Holton; sister, Stephanie Shelton; brothers, Frank Shelton, Paul Shelton and Mark Shelton; grandchildren, Natylie, Cameron, Kylee, Elizabeth, Kayla and Orlando; and many other loving family members and friends.

Denise’s family will receive friends Friday, January 25, 2019, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 1 p.m.
