Indianapolis – Helen Francis Roach, 88, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019. She was born March 18, 1931 in Indianapolis to the late Arthur and Mabel Blunk. She was employed as a salesperson for Victor Furniture. Ms. Roach loved baking cakes and decorating her house for the holidays, but more than anything else, she loved her family and especially all of her grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Dean Roach; grandson, Antonio “Tony” Rivera; sisters: Dortha McDufee, Carol Merrill and Sara Joann Benge; and brothers, Russell and Arthur Blunk. She is survived by her daughters: Debbie (Roach) Raasch, Diana (Roach) Rivera, Donna (Roach) Whiteside, Billie (Roach) McGuire and Dawn (Roach) Hammer; 18 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren.

Ms. Roach’s family will receive friends Wednesday, August 7, 2019, from 4 – 8 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will be conducted Thursday, August 8, 2019, at 10 am at the funeral home. A committal service will follow at New Crown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Megan S. Ott Foundation for breast cancer support.
