Indianapolis - Larry Michael Reed, 48, passed away Friday, August 16, 2019. He was born July 21, 1971 in Danville, IN to Carolyn Cope Reed Locander and the late Robert Edward Reed. He attended Plainfield schools for 12 years where he excelled at baseball football, and track. Larry graduated from Indiana State College with a degree in business.

Larry worked for several manufacturing companies throughout his career. Additionally, he was a huge fan of Jeff Gordon and IU. While Larry had many interests, what he loved most was spending time with the family he loved. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Robert Edward Reed and his brother, Robert Matthew Reed. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Brianna Nichole Reed; mother, Carolyn Cope Reed Locander; brother, Douglas Edward Reed; niece, Alexis Reed; and nephew, Robert Nicholas Reed. He was very excited that he was soon going to be a great uncle.

Larry’s family will receive friends Thursday, August 22, 2019, from 4 – 8 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will be conducted Friday, August 23, 2019, at 10 am at the funeral home. A committal service will follow at Clayton Cemetery.
