Indianapolis – Sondra Jean Belcher, 70, went home to be with the Lord Monday, September 30, 2019. Mrs. Belcher was born October 11, 1948 in Ypsilanti, MI to Louis and Dorothy Boger Bline. She married the love of her life, William “Bill” Belcher, on February 11, 1966. She served her family as a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and great grandma.

Mrs. Belcher was a very active member of Grace Evangelical Church where she served in several capacities, including as a deaconess. She had a servant’s heart and was very generous, always putting the needs of others before her own. She always had a little gift or care package for everyone she visited. She even left out little presents for the trash man and mailman. She never missed the opportunity to send birthday and Christmas cards to everyone she knew.

Mrs. Belcher is survived by her beloved husband, William “Bill” Belcher; mother, Dorothy Scharbrough; daughter, Tina Belcher; son, Jim Belcher; granddaughter, Stephanie Chastain; great granddaughter, Amillya Hughes; great grandson, Adrian Hughes; and many other loving family members and friends.

Mrs. Belcher’s family will receive friends Thursday, October 3, 2019, from 5 – 9 pm at Newcomer, Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227.
