Indianapolis - Mary Ellen Huling, 67, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 21, 1952 in Marietta, Ohio. Prior to moving to Indiana, Mary was a resident of Parkersburg, West Virginia for over 45 years.

Mary was a homemaker and an in-home childcare provider. Later in life, Mary loved working for the Parkersburg Catholic School System as a kindergarten aide. Mary participated in community service with the Parkersburg YWCA Y Teens and Board of Directors, Parkersburg High School Big Red Band and Red Wing Drill Team Boosters. Additionally, she served as a Girl Scout leader for many years. She was an avid reader and visited the Wood County Library weekly. She also enjoyed playing the piano for personal enjoyment and for the Parkersburg Catholic School System. She was a member of the Stout United Methodist Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth W. “Butch” and Marcina Spindler and siblings: Kenneth B. Spindler, Todd Spindler, and Carolyn Corbett. She is survived by her husband, Richard T. Huling; daughters, Jill Huling and Karen Buckrop and her husband, Randy; granddaughter, Victoria Correll; nieces, Leslie Bucina and Heidi Winans; and nephews, Tim Spindler, and Kevin Corbett.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary’s memory to your local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
