Southfield, MI - Jodi Michelle Ross, 44, of Indianapolis, IN passed away Friday, January 10, 2020. She was born April 1, 1974 to Douglas Ross and Pamela Hughes Brainerd. Jodi grew up in Lawrence, IN and lived there most of her life. She was employed at On the Border for several years where she served as a waitress. Her dream was to return to college, earn her degree and become a psychologist or social worker so that she could work with those struggling with addictions. She was a member of Lawrence United Church.

Jodi’s family described her as a beloved friend, daughter and grandmother. She had a smile that could light up a room. She loved animals and she would do anything she could to help out a friend in need. Her selflessness, work ethic, dazzling smile and wonderful sense of humour will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Jodie is survived by her beloved daughter, Elizabeth Paige Bishop; beloved mother, Pamela Brainerd; father, Doug Ross; brother, Jason Ross; sisters, Chelsea Brainerd and Jennifer Lockridge Spitz; granddaughter, Hazel Paige Bishop; and many other beloved family members and dear friends.

A celebration of Jodi’s life will be conducted at a later date.
