Indianapolis - Marlena Rae Smith, 58, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020. She was born February 7, 1961 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Robert and Susan Bilhiemer Simon. Rae will be forever remembered for her love of life and family. She had amazing strength, faith, beauty and courage.

Rae is survived by her beloved husband, Stephen Sherron; son, Samuel Piper and his wife, Krystyna; sister, Nikki Powell; brothers, Jim, Bob and John Simon; nieces and nephews, Amanda and Josh Cothran and Mindy, Lindsey, James and Ronald Simon; and many other beloved family members and dear friends.

Rae’s family will receive friends Saturday, January 25, 2020, from 11 am - 1 pm at Southeast Baptist Tabernacle Church, 6835 Shelbyville Road, Indianapolis 46237. A celebration of her life will follow at 1 pm at the church.
