Indianapolis – Joshua Alan “Josh” Smith, 37, passed away Friday, February 21, 2020. He was born September 18, 1982 in Beech Grove, IN to Samuel Smith, Sr. and Debra Allen Smith. Josh attended center Grove High School where he played football and was a member of the wrestling team. He served his community as a carpenter.
Josh’s family described him as having the biggest heart of anyone they knew. He was their “go to” guy who would do anything he could to help anyone who needed it. Additionally, he was very active in his son Jackson’s sporting events and his daughter Savannah’s dance and gymnastics activities. He will be loved and missed every day, but will never be forgotten.
Josh is survived by his daughter, Savannah Smith; son, Jackson Smith; father, Sam Smith, Sr.; mother, Debra Smith; brothers, Sam Smith, Jr. and Brad Smith; nieces and nephews: Brayden, Garrett, Brianna, Sophia and Noah Smith; and many other loving family members and dear friends.
