Indianapolis - Jacinto Ortiz Salazar, 78, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020. He was born September 19, 1941 in Mexico to the late Luis Ortiz and Maria Salazar. He served his community as a tree trimmer.

Mr. Ortiz was preceded in death by his parents, Luis Ortiz and Maria Salazar. He is survived by his beloved wife of 76 years, Cipriana Aguilar Ortiz; sons: Gabriel Ortiz-Hernandez and his wife, Monica, Doroteo Ortiz and his wife, Cecilia and Ruperto Ortiz and his wife, Esther; daughters: Juana Ortiz and her husband, Miguel Quiroz, Gaby Ortiz and Sofia Ortiz and her husband, Villo Mendez; 36 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and many other beloved family members and friends.

Mr. Ortiz’s family will receive friends Tuesday, March 24, 2020, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will be conducted at 1 pm. A committal service will follow at Concordia Cemetery.
