Jerry A. Spangler, 71, of Beech Grove, passed away on June 25, 2020 at Hancock County Regional Health in Greenfield. Jerry was born in Indianapolis, and was long-time resident of the Beech Grove area. He had served his country in the Army, and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. Jerry had been a barber at Tom's Barber Shop in Southport and Head of Times in Beech Grove. After he finished his career in barbering, Jerry worked for Stafford Liquors in Beech Grove until his retirement. Jerry loved music, in particular, folk and Outlaw Country genres of music. He also loved to play his guitar.

Jerry is survived by his children: Jeremy (Amy) Spangler and Jessica (Michael) McIntire; grandchildren: Leland, Ava, Ben, Jake and Hayden; great grandchild, Slade; mother of his children and good friend, Kathy Darrough.

The family will host a Celebration of Jerry's life on Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the American Legion Post No. 276 327 Main Street Beech Grove, IN 46107. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Legion Post No. 276.
