1944 - 2020

Michael "Popeye" DeWitt, 75, of Indianapolis passed away July 24, 2020 at his residence. Popeye was born on November 4, 1944 in Indianapolis to Lambert and Thelma (Harting) DeWitt. He retired from Amtrak after many years of service. In his free time, Popeye loved to ride his motorcycle, and he also loved his cars. More importantly, Popeye's family wanted everyone to know he was a family man, and he loved his family above all other things.

Survivors include his children: Caleb DeWitt and Tabitha (Robert) Green;four grandchildren: Tres Green, Baleigh Green Makenzie Green and Jordan Green; companion, Barbara DeWitt; siblings: Debra Logan, Donna Taylor and Daniel DeWitt. Popeye was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen Lux.
