Doris Irene (Bays) Huddleson, 84, passed away at her home in Greenwood on Friday October 2, 2020. Doris was born on February 10, 1936 in Worthington, IN to John and Lora (McDonald) Bays. She worked for over 40 years as a cook for Charlie Browns Pancake and Steakhouse in Speedway, IN. In her free time, Doris loved to travel, take cruises and visit casinos. Although she cooked for a living, nothing gave her more joy than cooking meals that were more like feasts for her family. Finally, Doris loved holidays, especially Christmas.

Doris is survived by her children: Shawn (Sabrina) Huddleson Sr., Robin Poyck and Lora Murray; grandchildren: Alex and Sarah Poyck. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis; grandchildren: Brittany Huddleson, Nathan Huddleson and Shawn Huddleson Jr; siblings: Theora Hawkins, Betty McFarland, John Bays, Wanda Haun and Mary Richardson.

Funeral services for Doris will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday October 8, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions 925 East Hanna Avenue Indianapolis. Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery in Jasonville, IN. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
