Christopher Joseph "Chris" Taylor
1966 - 2021

Indianapolis – Christopher Joseph “Chris” Taylor, 54, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born to Michael Albert Taylor and Tamara Sue Miller on January 19, 1966 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Chris graduated from Emmerich Manual High School, class of 1984. He loved to work on his cars which lead him to become an airplane mechanic after graduating from Vincennes University. Chris worked for American Trans Air where he was asked to travel on their world tour flight as their on board mechanic. After the close of ATA, he followed in his father's footsteps and went into law enforcement where he spent the remainder of his career. He retired from the Indianapolis Metro Police Department. Chris was happiest with when his German Shepherds were with him.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Kristi Hamilton and her wife Megan; his granddaughter, Alana Hamilton; his parents, Michael Albert Taylor and Tamara Sue Miller and her husband Donald; his aunt, Mary Ann Lasher; his brothers, Michael Taylor and his wife Theresa, Rick Taylor and his wife Nicole, and Anthony Taylor and his wife Lori; his sisters, Sherri Ruley and her husband Terry, Stephanie Pullum and her husband Bruce, and Darlene Huxtable and her husband David; his nieces and nephews, Brittani Benoit and her husband Anthony, Isabella Benoit, Britney Taylor, Landry and Kyler Ramey, Dakota Taylor, Axel and Cash, Brett and Adam Taylor, Dane Ruley, Dalton, Andrew, Aubrey and Madison Pullum; and many cousins and extended relatives.

Chris was preceded in death by his nephew, Evan Taylor; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Josephine Guelden; uncle, Ronald Guelden; paternal grandparents, Albert and Kathleen Taylor and cousin, Paula Ervin.

A family gathering will take place at a later date.
