Rick attended Wood High School. He was united in marriage on June 2, 1972 to Rosemary Kirby at St. Patrick’s Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. This union was blessed with one son, Michael Eads. Rick worked in manufacturing as an assembly line worker at Western Electric for five years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Faith in Christ Ministries. Rick liked helping out at the church, he often handled the yard upkeep. He was an avid model car fan and would attend car shows. Rick loved spending time with his wife and son. He enjoyed being outdoors and gardening.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary (Kirby) Eads; son, Michael Eads; grandchildren, Zachary, Justin and Brooklyn Eads; and great grandchildren, Zachary, Sabastian and Kaden Eads and Brittany and Andrew Spiegels.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Jean Gordan and brothers, William, Melvin and Marty Eads.
Rick’s friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dale Haydon officiating. For the health and safety of all guest attending, face masks are required. Burial will take place in Acton Cemetery, 7900 Acton Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46259 immediately following the service at 2:30 p.m.
