Indianapolis - John Allen Poole, 62, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021. He was born September 5, 1958 in Columbus, OH to the late Donald and Juanita Hough Poole. He was employed by the Skyline Motel where he served as the general manager.

He is survived by his significant other, James “Jimmy” Freeman; sister, Dorothy Wilkins and her husband, Dan Tolan; nieces: Anita Lewis, Amber Poole, Latoya Whitlock, Jesse Glazer and Frances Duncan: nephews: George Tolan, Dan Tolan, Jr., David Tolan and Chris Poole; 32 great nieces and nephews; 11 great great nieces and nephews; and many other beloved family members and dear friends.

John’s family will receive friends Friday, April 16, 2021, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home. For the health and safety of all guests attending, face masks are required.
