Indianapolis - Billy Joe Bray, 57, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021. He was born August 6, 1963 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Edward and Annie Mae Simmons Bray. He was employed in the concrete industry.

Billy’s family described him as a man who was kind to everyone and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed listening to Guns-n-Roses and watching NASCAR. He was a big fan of Dale Earnhart, Sr. He also enjoyed watching the Colts, the Pacers and IU. He loved being outdoors, particularly fishing and camping. While he had many interests, what he loved most was spending time with his step kids and grandkids.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Annie Mae Simmons Bray; brother, Larry Bray; and sister, Vicky Bray. He is survived by his brothers, Merle Bray and Ronnie Bray; sisters: Pam Carrier, Joyce Bray, Shirley Plummer and Theresa Booher; and many other loving family members and friends.

Billy’s family will receive friends Tuesday, May 11, 2021, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home. After the service, everyone is invited to Merle and Dorothy's home.
