Indianapolis – Randy Joe Carter, age 58, passed away at 4:36 AM on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at The Waters Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center of Indianapolis. He was born to Bobby and Doris (Rumple) Carter on April 17, 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Randy graduated from Arsenal Technical High School, class of 1976. Professionally, he was a jack of all trades. Randy worked as an EMT, locksmith, taxi driver and repo security. He volunteered at the Indianapolis Fire Department for many years. Randy was a member for 20 years at Reel One in Indianapolis, IN, joining the group in February of 2003. He loved spending time with his son Austin and was proud to coach his softball team. Randy enjoyed good food, driving around the city and occasionally playing golf.

He is survived by his loving fiancé, Roberta Hole; his children, Candi Jo Barnes, Brittany Lawson and Austin Carter; his siblings, Lloyd Carter, Bobby Carter, Terri Carter and Susan Carter; his grandchildren, Trinity Morefield and Leonna Welch; and his father, Bobby Carter. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Carter.

Randy’s friends & family may visit from 4 – 8 PM on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 with visitation an hour prior at the funeral home with Pastor Bobby Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143.
