Indianapolis - Zachary Ray Pettis, 23, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was born January 18, 1998 in Indianapolis, IN to Barry Pettis and Christina Stewart. He was employed in the private security industry where he served as a security guard. He was also a tow truck driver.

Zachary’s family described him as a smart young man who loved everyone around him. He enjoyed motorcycles, racing and hanging out with his roommate, Jason. While he had many interests, more than anything else, he enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly his kids.

Zachary is survived by his parents, Barry and Christina; son, Carter; daughters, Elenor and Scarlett; sisters, Samantha and Breanna; nephews, Kalin and Amari; niece, Montgomery; uncles: Bryan B., Johnny, Jimmy, Bryan, Brad and Bruce; aunts: Shana, Billie, Carla, Barbara, Tina and Angie; and many other loving family members and friends.

Zachary’s family will receive friends Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will follow at 1 pm with Bruce Pettis officiating.
