She attended Cottage Avenue Pentecostal Fellowship in Indianapolis for many years. Marlene attended IUPUI and then Ivy Tech Community College for accounting. Professionally, she was an accountant at UPS. Marlene was united in marriage on March 8, 1986 to Dean Ray Longelin in Indianapolis. This union was blessed with one son, Dean Ray Longelin, Jr.
She loved knitting and crocheting, especially making baby blankets. Marlene enjoyed reading and spending time with her husband, son and grandchildren. She spent a lot of time on the porch with her husband watching the sunrise and sunset. Marlene loved her Pit Bulls, Bella and Rubble.
Marlene was a fantastic wife, mother and grandmother. You couldn’t ask for a better person to be a part of your family. Marlene was the best wife Dean could ever imagine marrying. When Dean met Marlene he was in a dark place and she saved his life. Marlene gave Dean the most beautiful family. She was fiery and stubborn.
