James Daniel “Burd” Pattison, 31, passed away at 6:31 PM on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born to James F. Pattison II and Patricia Joyce (Lewis) Wilson on May 31, 1990 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN.

James graduated from Warren Central High School, class of 2008. He received his associate degree in 2012 at Ivy Tech Community College School of Carpentry. James graduated with academic and technical honors. He was a very accomplished journeyman and has built many bridges in Indiana since 2008. James worked for Wilhelm Construction in 2020 working on the Justice Center in Indianapolis. Most recently he worked for Superior Construction building a bridge in downtown Indianapolis.

James was a member of Carpenters Local 758. He was very intelligent, funny, quick witted, caring and stubborn. James was always the life of the party. He loved his family and friends deeply. James adored spending time and playing with his children. He enjoyed playing video games in his spare time and liked doing a dance he called the burd man.

James is survived by his loving children, Jayden Maxwell, Miya Marie, James Daniel and Millie Ann Pattison; his mother, Patricia Joyce Wilson; his brothers, Shawn Pattison and Kyle Pattison and his wife, Ashleigh; his grandparents, James Pattison and John and Linda Lewis; his aunts, Lisa Carlyle and Tina Karol and her husband, William; his uncles, Josseph Pattison and his wife, Kim and John Lewis; his nieces, Jayla and Skye Pattison; and his nephew, Shawn Pattison II and his fiancé, Martha Mullins.

He was preceded in death by his father, James F. Pattison II, uncle, John Edward Pattison and grandmother, Carol Jean (Leake) Pattison.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.

James guest may also visit from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM with John Cummings officiating. Interment will follow at New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203.
