Teresa Ann Taylor
1962 - 2021

An angel in life has returned home, forever in our hearts…

Our loving mother, Teresa Ann Johnson, age 58, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning of October 27th, 2021.

She was the proud and loving mother of Christopher Couperus, Leah Sokolek, Alexandra Sokolek, Taylor Sokolek, and Crystal Sokolek as well as a doting grandmother to Camden Harris, Alaina Shadwick, Lily Couperus,Caius Pugh, Harley Kennedy, Xander Harris, Tommy Shadwick, Jesse Shadwick and Elizabeth DeWitt. Teresa set aside her career to devote her life to her children and later grandchildren.

In addition to her children and grandchildren Teresa is also survived by her parents, Rose & Leroy Cole and her brothers, Bruce & Ron Johnson. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Cindy Johnson. Teresa Ann truly had such a bright soul.

No matter her own hardships she always shined on her loved ones. Teresa helped so many of those she cared for through life's difficulties. She was a protector of her children, grandchildren, and many others. She will be greatly missed, leaving many who loved her feeling as if she took a piece of our hearts with her.

Teresa Ann never wanted to be the center of attention, so per her wishes services will be private for only a few immediate family members to say goodbye. A later date will be set for a Celebration of Life to be held in honor of Teresa Ann’s memory.

Anyone wishing to honor her may make a donation to their local domestic abuse shelter or organization in lieu of flowers.

Throughout her life Teresa Ann helped so many in difficult situations having a strong stance for victims’ rights. “No matter how much darkness you see in your life, don’t let it dim your soul” -Teresa Ann Johnson.
