Indianapolis - Helen Elizabeth Wright, 81, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021. She was born December 18, 1940 in Stamping Ground, KY to the late James and Alva Baird Wright. She graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1959. She served her community as a medical secretary.

Ms. Wright’s hobbies included growing plants and collecting Mickey Mouse and butterfly items. She loved spending time with her grandkids and did her best to spoil them rotten. She enjoyed listening to music, particularly Elvis.

Ms. Wright was preceded in death by her parents, James and Alva Baird Wright; daughter, Amy Kay; and brother, Stuart Wright. She is survived by her children: Curt Dunaway, Kris Phillips, Casey Dunaway and Susie Tow; grandchildren: Heather Dunaway, Tom Dunaway, Michael Trammell, Kristopher Trammell, Wendy McAtee, Zach McAtee and Shay Phillips; great grandchildren: Matthew Lynch, Uriah Sprague, Mya McAtee, Dax McAtee, Emilia Davids, Autumn Trammell and Walker Trammell; nephew, Jim Wright; and many other loving family members and friends.

Ms. Wright’s family will receive friends Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 1:00 p.m.
