Beech Grove - Robert L. “Bob” Wincel, age 75, passed away at 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Harry E. and Louise M. (Butterfield) Wincel. Bob was born on October 26, 1946 in Indianapolis, IN. He was united in marriage on August 17, 1965 to Carolyn S. Childs in Indianapolis, IN.

Bob’s hobbies were collecting baseball cards, playing claw machines, scratch off lottery tickets and watching basketball. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Colts. Bob was an avid Colts football fan. He loved his grandchildren very much. Bob’s favorite saying was “I taught you well”.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Carolyn S. Wincel; his children, Robin A. (James V.) Brewer and Heather G. (Christopher C.) Buckler; his sister, Janet E. Anderson; his grandchildren, Kelcie P. (Aaron M.) Lee and Jacob B. (fiancé Kaitlyn Barnett) Buckler; and his great granddaughter, Tallulah Lee.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Wincel, Larry Wincel, Donald Wincel and Kenny Wincel and his sisters, Dottie Jean Wincel, Joyce Wincel, Diana Wincel and Margie Mason.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.
