Alberta Drury, age 75 of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at her residence. She was born December 30, 1946 in Harlan, Kentucky to Roy and Ethel (Blanton) Jordan. Alberta worked as a home health care nurse for numerous years and enjoyed being able to help others. She married Calvin Drury in Indianapolis. More than anything, Alberta loved being a mother and grandmother.

Alberta’s family includes, 4 children, Robert Rippey (Tammy Alexander), Jane Van Kroomanburs, Marilyn Cothren, and Tanya Drury; 2 siblings, Roy Jordan and Joyce Blair; 12 grandchildren, Ranee Capps, Robin Capps, Noah Drury, Tucker McClain, David Baldock, Amanda Alexander, Jennifer Alexander, Jeremy Baldock, Scotty Cothren, Shawn Cothren, Chris Lauerman, and Ryan Quattrocchi; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Alberta is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Calvin Drury; and 3 siblings, Tommy Jordan, Sue Johnson, and Jerry Jordan.

Alberta’s wishes were to be cremated and have a memorial service at a later date. Newcomer Funeral Home in Indianapolis is honored to handle Alberta’s wishes.
