1958 - 2022

Carl Edward "Junior" Dausch, Jr. age 63 of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born July 14, 1958 the son of Carl E. and Mary Jo (Jarvis) Dausch. Carl graduated from Manual High School in Indianapolis, received an online degree from ISU’s prison program, and was pursuing a master’s degree online from Ball State. He worked for many years as a welder and was a novice mechanic. Carl liked to fish and was good at all things art, from painting to tattooing. He had a passion for rescuing and training Pit Bulls. Carl liked to spend time with his family and friends, and he found great joy in taking long rides on his Harley.

Carl’s family includes 2 daughters, Stacy Benedict and Lindsey Spurgeon; 2 sisters, Diane Johnson and Joanna Mayfield; 5 grandchildren, Shelby, Joel, Elijah, Uriah, and Kaleb; and numerous extended family members and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Miriam.

A memorial service to celebrate Carl’s life will take place at 7:00 pm on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Friedens UCC Indy, 8300 S. Meridian St. Indianapolis, IN 46217. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 7 prior to the service. A Last Ride will take place immediately after the service, and a route map will be made available at the service. Memorial contributions may be made to The Innocence Project or Child Abuse Prevention. Newcomer Indianapolis is honored to handle Carl’s cremation arrangements.
