Norma attended Ben Davis High School and graduated in 1951. She was united in marriage to Richard Reed in Indianapolis, IN. Norma was an administrative assistant in the healthcare industry for many years.
Norma loved playing the piano. She enjoyed music and spending time with her family. Norma was also a member of the Restoring Hope Community Church.
Norma is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Richard; her daughters, Bonita Durham and Winnie Durham Boling; her sons, Anthony (wife Earleen Grinager) and Jeff Durham; sisters Marilyn Howie (husband Chuck) and Delilah Paulsen (husband Phil) ; as well as grandchildren Angela Bowman, Issac Durham, Spencer Durham, Shawn Bland, Jerry Balay, and Cindy (Durham) Adkins.
In addition to her parents, Norma Jean was preceded in death by Janice (Calvert) Welty, Ralph Calvert, Leon Calvert, and Phyllis (Calvert) Jones.
Visitation will take place from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM at Newcomer with Pastor Dan Wilhite officiating.
