SOUTHPORT - Wanda Marie (Kingery) McQueen, age 71, passed away at 9:23 PM on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Franciscan Health Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Orin and Beatrice Christina (Nanny) Kingery. Wanda was born on September 8, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was united in marriage on July 3, 1965 to Harry McQueen in Kentucky. Professionally, Wanda worked in Hotel Restaurant Management for many years. She loved her two dogs and playing the lottery. Her hobbies were going to the casino and camping. Wanda enjoyed sitting on the porch, drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette. She also enjoyed feeding hummingbirds, squirrels and her neighbor's cats.

Wanda is survived by her children: Katherine Soto, Floyd McQueen, Irene Jordan and Richard McQueen; her siblings, Aline Kingery and James Kingery; and her grandchildren, Christina, Crystal, Nitasha, Rachael, Little Floyd, Little Richard, Joey, Toni, Shannon, Camerino, Jazlyn and Brian. In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by Harry McQueen, Gladys Hughes, Lavonda French, Wayne Kingery, Astiana Sanchez, Nikki, Ella Tanner, and Jenny McQueen.

Wanda’s friends and family may visit from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM.
