Indianapolis - Jane Ann Lake, 84, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022. She was born December 1, 1937 in Denver, IN to the late Ross and Helen Overstreet Gerard. She graduated from Arsenal Tech High School. She was employed by the State of Indiana where she served in administration. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was the leader of the Prayer Warriors.

Ms. Lake’s hobbies included horticulture, creating flower arrangements, arts and crafts and traveling. She loved her grandkids and the Hallmark Channel. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and participating in church events.

Ms. Lake was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bradley; brother, Morris; and great grandson, Erik Jr. She is survived by her children: Janet, Scott and Chrissy; others who called her “Mom”: Diane Vaughn, Dan Hodge, Linda Leacy Gibson and Angie Chamness-Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Shellie, Mandy (Shane), Melissa (Joe), Erik (Jelinsa), Anna, Sam and Eva; great grandchildren: MacKenzie (Adrian), Kenedi, Tessa, Crystal, Payton, Mason and Zoey; and many more beloved family members and dear friends.

Ms. Lake’s family will receive friends Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from 1 – 3 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. A celebration of her life will follow at 3 pm. Memorial contributions may be made, in Ms. Lake’s memory, to the American Heart Association.
